Break

And winter break is coming to an end this week here (school to start back up on Tues) and I'd like to think that I've been keeping myself decently occupied. My main problem was I wasn't sure where to focus so there's a few projects underway- hopefully I'll get one of them finished in time for ccad's Art of Illustration or SOI.



Really rather doubtful I'll get into either of them but I'm trying dammit! :)



Also been digging through a bunch of Spectrum books from the library (busy beating myself for not checking them out before...) and a couple of books I received for xmas (Sparth's Structura and Syd Mead's Sentury II). What can I say but wow. I love that inspirational reeling feeling as if I've been smacked in the face by some of the most amazing artists around. Nothing quite like it for me to actually get going on some work.


But then again (and not bragging or trying to sound cocky here) I feel like that gap is finally starting to close. Sure, it is only by a little bit and it'll probably stall out here and there like it has before but looking back at things I made only a couple of years ago....


Let's just say progress feels good.
