Selective Sketches...

And by selective I mean selective.  I typically post all of them over on my art tumblr but some don't even make the cut over there.
But it's the end of the year and I realize that I haven't posted much during school the past two semesters.  So for those of you not on tumblr, I thought I'd post a decent sized grouping of the sketches I'm fond of for whatever reasons.

 Thankfully it looks like my summer will be a bit more open-ended than last, so much more art will be in  production and as such you can expect more updates here and on tumblr.

Not many things to be had though. Ever sense starting work inspiration ran away quicker than imaginable. In essence what is being posted now is guilt-trip art to attempt to make up for a rather unproductive summer.













In conclusion more from life color studies are kind of important at the moment and I should work in pen more often since it forces me to attempt to be confident while drawing. Also if you can name what I was listening to during the various sketches you get internet points.

Unfortunately there has been very little time for artwork since I started work two weeks ago now, but this 4th of July weekend I got to get out and about again and creep on people.

Oh and if anyone can name the albums/bands I was listening to at the time I'll give you internet cookies.

Well, it's supposed to be anyway. I've been taking a look at some used nicer cameras and if work works out this summer then hopefully I'll find myself with a dslr. Anywho, things! I did email several artists I admire and one of them got back to me with some really good advice so I'm off and running again trying to do some more illustrative work. I figured keep it simple and go with an easily recognizable classic- Little Red Riding Hood. I've done up several thumbs and think I'm getting close to something I like, just need to resolve a couple of things!

A demon a day?

Well homework is at an end (for the most part). I do have some personal stuff in the works but I was thinking about just for fun studies and thought going through wikipedia's list o' theological demons would be entertaining. We'll see where this goes!
