Little Red Riding Hood

(if drawings could be ghosts this would be pretty close to how they look...)

Well, it's supposed to be anyway. I've been taking a look at some used nicer cameras and if work works out this summer then hopefully I'll find myself with a dslr. Anywho, things! I did email several artists I admire and one of them got back to me with some really good advice so I'm off and running again trying to do some more illustrative work. I figured keep it simple and go with an easily recognizable classic- Little Red Riding Hood. I've done up several thumbs and think I'm getting close to something I like, just need to resolve a couple of things!

Demon a ... week?...

Dantalion

AHA!

Ok so I was finally reunited with my camera (complete with batteries so close to the verge of death you have to shake them to keep them alive!) and got some pictures of recent sketchbook activity. I miss scanners. But these will do for now:

Gestures of the deer at Forest Lawn (apologies for the not so great quality- really light sketches = bad digital images)

And a hawk!

Gestures from a graduation

Finally finished up that one angel sketch I had going (again apologies for the quality...)
And a couple more splatter things for fun-

That's all from this past week or so- hoping to keep it up! Actually with ArtSlam starting up in just a week over on Live Journal I definitely will be kept busy (which is a very good thing).

Demon a Day (8)

Well kind of....I'm trying to get back on a regular sleep schedule and I'm really liking how this guy's going so I will be finishing him up and doing another demon for tomorrow.

Not so happy with this one but getting into the habit of painting black and white then doing a bunch of colored overlay layers isn't such a good idea.
